BMTC unveils intelligent lighting solutions

UAE-based Bahri & Mazroei Trading Company (BMTC) is showcasing its extensive suite of intelligent and sustainable lighting solutions at the Light Middle East 2017 expo which opened today (October 17) in Dubai.

A leading provider of electrical, lighting and water solutions in the region, BMTC is a subsidiary of the UAE-based Bahri & Mazroei Group.

At the three-day event, BMTC will present its product portfolio to complement the theme of ‘Lighting Solutions for Smartening Up Cities.’

Its product showcase includes smart street and tunnel lighting and indoor commercial lighting as well as aesthetic lighting solutions for city beautification, including façade lighting and fountain lighting.
In this, the company is bringing an exceptional range of products by international companies such as Schréder, Trilux, Meyer, & Oase.

During the event, the company will be announcing its largest LED project to be undertaken to date with its contract to provide 45,000 LED luminaires covering indoor, outdoor and landscape lighting for the new Al Ain Hospital project.

The project will help achieve significant savings in energy consumption by as much as 50 per cent, with zero maintenance for five years, heat reduction leading to savings in AC bills by 10 per cent, and more, remarked Al Mazroei.

"With an increasing focus on reducing environmental emissions, enhancing energy use efficiency and promoting beautification, we have the right solutions for every need – from commercial to residential and street lighting to decorative illumination," he added.

Among its diverse product showcase, BMTC is bringing street and tunnel lighting solutions by Schréder. The two companies have partnerships since the 1980s.

A key highlight will be Schréder’s innovative smart lighting pole, Shuffle. With integrated features such as loudspeakers, CCTV, WLAN, EV chargers and visual guidance, the Shuffle goes far beyond professional lighting.

It creates the best conditions to make people truly feel at home in public areas. The Shuffle combines state-of-the art LED lighting technology and a wide range of photometries, adapted to various applications such as roads, streets, squares, pedestrian crossings, footpaths and architectural lighting.

BMTC will also present the indoor commercial lighting solutions by Trilux further highlighting BMTC’s competencies to customise the lighting design as per the requirements of the customer, said Al Mazroei.

The Emirati company has a professional in-house design team capable of creating aesthetic and sustainable indoors for commercial entities.

The differentiating feature of Trilux solutions is that they are energy-efficient, which contributes to reducing energy bills and promoting sustainable development.

In façade lighting, BMTC is presenting Willy Meyer & Sohn’s exterior lighting products – an example of which is the Kempinski Hotel at the Mall of the Emirates, executed by BMTC using these solutions.

Through its partnership with Oase for over 35 years, BMTC is bringing a range of underwater lighting solutions that are increasingly in demand to beautify water features across the mega-developments in the region.-TradeArabia News Service
